Billy is a friendly but clumsy goat who used to be a family pet. His big horns mean that we have to keep him in a side pen during visitor hours but at after hours he gets to wander wherever he pleases. |

Bolera is one of two mules
currently at our Nerja sanctuary. Bolera survived a
series of operations and happily now has a new lease of
life. During the day she is kept in a pen on her own as
she likes to throw her weight around and push the other
animals out of the way. |

sanctuary for the rest of her life as she feels so happy
and safe she won't even leave the sanctuary gates for a
walk. |

Paloma
(Dove) is 19 and one of our two mules. She lived
very high up in the Alpujarra mountains until May 2005
when the mountain track she was on collapsed and she
fell over 100 metres down the mountain side. Our rescue
team took over 18 hours to rescue her, aside from her
injuries we thought the shock alone might kill her. The
picture shows her sitting up after 3 days and nights
lying in a collapsed and distressed state. |

Iggy is our recently rescued baby pot-bellied pig he is a star attraction with visitors |

Rubia. *New* Temporarily named Rubia this mare was dumped in Vélez-Málaga with no food or water next to a stagnant stream. Now safely in the sanctuary she is making her first steps towards recovery. |
