Gordon
Ramsay with the Kids Club

This picture was taken back in August when Gordon Ramsay came to Nerja
to film for his most recent series of Kitchen Nightmares. The programme
was based around our Valentines Ball fundraising dinner at
La Parra de
Burriana Restaurant in Burriana Nerja, the original dinner really
was a Kitchen Nightmare so Gordon Ramsay was dispatched to Nerja to sort
things out! Gordon spent a long time at the donkey sanctuary, feeding
the donkeys, posing for pictures, signing autographs (mostly on the kids
t-shirts) and of course filming for the programme.

Donkey Sanctuary

Hi! My name is Chloe. I really like the Nerja
Donkey Sanctuary. I love all the animals like the dogs, the
donkeys, the horses and the cats.
It's really fun feeding the donkeys and
stuff. My favourite dog is Sampson. My favourite donkey is Farry
and my favourite horse is Silver. The best place to take the
dogs is the beach because they like the water.
The sanctuary is also fun because there are a
lot of other kids there. Especially on Saturday because on
Saturday it's kids club. Anyone can be in kids club. If you just
go then you will have fun looking after all the animals but also
you have to work as well.

Hi! My name is Izzy, and I
think the Nerja Donkey Sanctuary is really a great place. I love
all kinds of animals like horses, donkeys, dogs, and cats, and
the donkey sanctuary has all of these.
It's really fun to take
all the donkey sanctuary's dogs for long, long walks. My
favourite dog is Snowy the puppy. Snowy is nice and wags her
tail whenever I come to see her. Mocha, the brown dog, loves to
go in the water. He loves to drink the water and play and splash
in it. I'm really happy when the dogs get re-homed, but it is
also sad because I miss them.
My first time at the
sanctuary I got to walk Pinky, the baby donkey. The best place
to take the donkeys for a walk is in the river bed because there
is so much grass for them to graze on.
The sanctuary is
also fun because there are a lot of other kids there, especially
on Saturdays. That's when Kids
Club meets. Anyone can be in
Kids Club.
You just show up and have fun!
Izzy.
